About the Author

Ellen M. McKizzie was born on March 27, 1947, in Long Beach, California. After being raised in Compton, California, she then moved to the High Desert in the late 1970s. She has two sons, one daughter, and a host of grandchildren whom she loves dearly. This collection of poetry and interactive art reflects the depths of her soul and mind, which she puts into all her writings. Mrs. McKizzie hopes that readers of this collective piece can feel her pain and joy through her works of art and that they too can find peace, love, and hope.
